Prof. Andrea Dall'Asta, PhD is currently Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Parma, Honorary Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the University Hospital of Parma, Italy and Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London, UK. His clinical and research interests are focused on Maternal and Fetal Medicine and particularly on fetal growth restriction, intrapartum ultrasound and advanced prenatal imaging.

Prof. Dall’Asta graduated and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and PhD in Medical Sciences at the University of Parma, Italy, and had Fetal Medicine and Obstetric training in the United Kingdom at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital, London. He is author and co-author of over 80 peer reviewed manuscripts and several chapters published in textbooks of international relevance and collaborates as a reviewer for several International Journals. He is currently member of the Safety Committee and of the Next Generation Committee of the International Society on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and co-chair of the Fetal Growth Committee of the Italian Society on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (SIEOG). Prof. Dall’Asta has been appointed Editorial Board Member for the Fetal Medicine section of BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth in June 2018.

Dr Stefania Carlucci is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine subspecialist currently Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the University Hospital of Foggia, Italy. She graduated and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Foggia, Italy. She was a Research Fellow at the Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine at King’s College where she has been involved actively in ASPRE Study as medical professional who helped in the re-cruitment and follow-up of participants. She holds the II Level Master degrees in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at University of Torino and she worked as Fetal Medicine specialist at Fetal Medicine and Prenatal Diagnosis Unit Institute for Maternal and Child Health IRCCS Burlo Garofolo Trieste. She is currently member of the Safety Committeea and of the Second Trimester Committee of the Italian Society on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (SIEOG).

Christoph Lees is Professor of Obstetrics as Imperial College London; Honorary Consultant in Obstetrics and Head of Specialty for Fetal Medicine at the Centre for Fetal Care, Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust; Clinical Director for Fetal Medicine for North West London and Visiting Professor KU Leuven (Belgium).  His research interest is on fetal assessment and in particular the use of Doppler ultrasound to assess the health of the baby, scanning in labour, and non-invasive fetal surgery. He is the Chief Investigator of The Trial of Umbilical and Fetal Flow in Europe (TRUFFLE), a Collaboration of 51 Centres across Europe; co-founder of the International Working Group of Maternal Haemodynamics and Intrapartum ultrasound ISLANDs group. He was awarded £2.2m grant from the Medical Research Council for first in human studies of high-intensity focused ultrasound in 2017, a £2.5m grant from the NIHR in 2019 to undertake the TRUFFLE 2 RCT and a £2.1M grant from the NIHR for a study on ultrasound of breech pregnancy at 36 weeks in 2023.

Dr. Piero Miloro is a Senior Delivery Manager at the National Physical Laboratory, UK. He received his MSc in Aerospace Engineering from University of Pisa and his Ph.D. in Biorobotics from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa. He joined the National Physical Laboratory (London, UK) in 2015 in the Ultrasound and Underwater Acoustics group. He manages the medical ultrasound calibration services in agreement with relevant IEC/BSI standards, which include hydrophone calibration, power measurements, field and acoustic properties characterization, for a total turnaround in excess of £600,000. All services follow ISO17025 standards and a part of them is externally accredited to it. He manages a team of 8 people, and the relevant facilities to perform the measurements. He is responsible for the Health and Safety and Quality management of the measurement services. He is author of more than 30 peer reviewed manuscripts, totaling more than 600 citations. He is a member of the British Medical Ultrasound Society and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology for which he is involved in the Safety Committees. He is member of the BSI EPL/87 and of the IEC TC87 for the United Kingdom.

Dr Ioannis Papastefanou is an Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Sub-specialist in Fetal and Maternal Medicine and a Visiting Senior Lecturer, Department of Women and Children’s Health, School of Life Course & Population Sciences, Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine, King’s College London. He is Editor for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, ISUOG and a member of the ISUOG Safety Committee. On the clinical front his active clinical special interests include all aspects of fetal - maternal medicine and ultrasound scanning; prenatal diagnosis of genetic conditions and fetal anomalies; prediction and management of fetal growth restriction; prediction and prevention of stillbirth; prediction, prevention and management pre-eclampsia; non-invasive and invasive prenatal diagnosis and fetal therapy.

He studied medicine at the University of Patras Greece; he holds two Master degrees; he obtained his PhD on the role of the 3D ultrasound scan for the prediction of pre-eclampsia and growth restriction from the Medical School at the University of Athens, Greece; he was a Research Fellow at the Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine at King’s College; he has been involved in a number of research projects in collaboration with the Fetal Medicine Foundation and the Fetal Medicine Research Institute, King’s College Hospital, London, UK.

Ioannis has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals in the field of maternal and fetal medicine. His research output involves, preterm birth, prenatal diagnosis, gestational diabetes, placental disease, pre-eclampsia, fetal growth restriction, prediction models for pregnancy complications and precision medicine applied in obstetrics. Committed to the effort for improving obstetric care, he currently collaborates with the Fetal Medicine Foundation to develop person-oriented care that prevents neonatal mortality and morbidity. Ioannis is devoted in improving maternal and fetal health, through applied clinical research, educational programs and individual advocacy.
