One of ISUOG’s missions is to promote and provide education and training in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound throughout the world.
ISUOG has an established Education Committee which maintains and develops the educational activity of the Society. As well as the extensive ISUOG Approved Course programme, we are actively developing new educational media including CD's, web lectures and online guidelines. These resources are available to view through this website.
The ISUOG Outreach Program was set up to implement and develop training programs for ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology in underserved regions of the world. Imaging technology is a key tool in the clinical assessment of obstetric and gynecological conditions all over the world, but the manual skills and background knowledge required for screening and targeted ultrasound evaluation can be difficult to learn. The rapid advances in ultrasound make the need for adequate education and training even more pressing.
