Advanced gynecology II: oncology and urogynecology review

ISUOG was delighted to welcome almost 200 delegates to its second gynecology course, oncology and urogynecology. Travelling from over 30 countries, it was a truly international audience that attended the course directed by Professor Tom Bourne.

The two day course commenced each morning with ‘meet the expert’ sessions. These small group sessions were led by experts such as Dirk Timmerman, Daniela Fischerova and Antonia Testa and gave the delegates the chance to hear talks on very specific topics in an informal setting. The format gave lots of opportunity for questions and discussion resulting in a great learning atmosphere!

Day one concentrated on oncology and pelvic floor and the second day focused on ovarian pathology and abnormal bleeding and the endometrium. The intense lecture program was complimented by interactive sessions of quizzes, video demonstrations and images. Great audience participation ensured that sessions were lively!

Thank you to GE Healthcare and Siemens for exhibiting at the course, your ongoing support is very much appreciated and we know delegates welcomed the chance to chat to you over the two days.

And a big thank you to our faculty for providing a great lecture program with such high quality presentations.

Our next ISUOG Gynecology course will be 15-16 June 2012 – Early pregnancy, reproductive medicine and benign gynecology. Keep an eye on our website for updates and program information.
