The RCOG hosted the latest successful ISUOG course over two days this February. Over 280 delegates came to London from 36 different countries to hear the internationally recognised ISUOG speakers. Please click here to view the course program. As usual, the course was fully booked well in advance, with a substantial waiting list – so we suggest booking as early as possible to avoid future disappointment! Our online course registration system accepts payment by credit or debit card and has made this process extremely quick and easy.
Friday’s focus on congenital anomalies presented delegates with 11 lectures from 6 different speakers covering neurosonography, the urinary tract, and thoracic anomalies. To begin the day, experts including Aris Papageorghiou, Boris Tutschek, Rabih Chaoui and ISUOG President Gianluigi Pilu, presented up-to-the-minute clinical research findings, photographs and videos about fetal neurosonography.
After lunch, Aris Papageorghiou presented on the urinary tract and later Kypros Nicolaides and Basky Thilaganathan spoke about thoracic anomalies. The final presentation of clinical cases was also particularly well received by delegates.
Rabih Chaoui introduced Saturday’s program on fetal echocardiography. He was joined by Dario Paladini, Lindsey Allen and Julene Carvalho for a packed day of presentations covering screening and cardiac examination, the left ventricle of the fetus, differential diagnosis, first trimester, and the fetal venous system.
It was a real pleasure to have so many well-known ISUOG speakers in London for this course and delegates certainly seemed pleased with the line-up. Both days saw delegates keen to engage in question and answer sessions with speakers after the lectures.
As usual we have received plenty of glowing praise for the course, and are very grateful to delegates that took time to give detailed feedback and constructive comments. You can be assured that all the evaluation forms are read and recorded to ensure future courses are as instructive and enjoyable as possible. Here's a selection of our favourite comments:
"Great organisation. Lots of professional speakers and interesting subjects. It was my first time and I really enjoyed it."
"Having the lectures in the online archives is excellent! I'm considering membership just to get access to the online lectures."
"Prof Pilu, Chaoui and Allen fabulous!"
ISUOG members already receive discounted fees for ISUOG courses, but we are also very pleased to offer video and PowerPoint recordings of the lectures from this course free to members to view at their leisure. These will be available in the next few days via the website: http://www.isuog.org/EducationAndTraining/
