Hear from our newly appointed Trustee, Prof. Fabricio Da Silva Costa
Fabricio is a Prof. at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo, Brazil. He is also the Head of Ultrasound Services and Visiting Professor at Monash University (Melbourne, Australia), an Ambassador for the International Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology for Latin America and a recently elected Trustee.As a Trustee, Fabricio sees a big opportunity to propose his ideas regarding the education and globalization of ISUOG to his Trustee colleagues, while being able to collaborate with them to reach ISUOG's goals and mission. His vision for the future is for ISUOG to become the leading organization promoting improvements to women’s health and that our education activities reach throughout areas such as Latin America, Asia and Africa.
Fabricio was based in Melbourne (Australia) for 10 years, where he was Associate Professor at Monash University, Head of Monash Health Perinatal Service and Medical Director of Monash Ultrasound for Women, before his return to Brazil in July 2018. His main areas of research are pre-eclampsia and first-trimester screening and he has over 120 published papers on peer-reviewed journals.
