ISUOG's state-of-the art Basic Training program provides trainees that are new to ultrasound an introduction to essential topics in obstetrics and gynecology, promoting new standards for quality education and training in the field. In its pursuit of providing the highest quality education for the advancement of ISUOG’s mission, the Basic Training program is quality assured through a thorough assessment and validation process.It is now possible for all Basic Training delegates and practicioners to obtain an ISUOG certificate of completion of the Basic Training program by successfully completing both a theoretical and practical exam.
There are two steps to obtain the Basic Training Completion Certificate:
- Attend a full ISUOG Basic Training program of 30 theoretical lectures and corresponding practical sessions. It is not necessary attend all 30 lectures in one course.
- Pass both a theoretical and practical exam with a score of 70% or higher
Completing the theoretical program is the first step to obtaining a Basic Training Certificate of Completion. You can complete the theoretical program by attending one of our basic training courses in-person, joining one of our satellites near you, attending via live-stream or hosting your own BT course. This will be followed by a theoretical test, which will assess participants knowledge of the curriculum and those who pass with a score of 70% or higher will receive a certificate of completion for the theoretical program.

ISUOG has identified the following countries whose economies fall within the middle income category as defined by the World Bank. Delegates from countries categorised as low resource [Low-resource countries list (Groups A and B)] can qualify for even greater discounts. No other discounts can be used in conjunction with this rate.
