Organised by the Indian Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, this three-day course is bringing together international faculty including Dr Abuhamad, Prof Thilaganathan, Prof Timmerman, Dr Haratz, Dr Acharya and Dr Sheshadri. The course will be held in Agra and will be conducted in English.

Prof. Basky Thilaganathan is a specialist in the medical and surgical management of highrisk pregnancies (materno-fetal medicine) with a focus on twin pregnancy, fetal growth, fetal abnormality and pre-eclampsia. Prof. Thilaganathan's research methods include uterine Doppler and trophoblast invasion, screening for pre-eclampsia, echocardiography-based studies of maternal cardiac adaptation to pregnancy, and clinical studies of twin pregnancies.
He has authored two undergraduate and five postgraduate textbooks in obstetrics and fetal medicine and is the lead trainer for the Maternal-Fetal medicine sub-speciality training programme at St George’s Hospital, London. Prof. Thilaganathan was Editor-in-Chief of ISUOG’s Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology for nearly 8 years, within that time raising the Journal’s impact factor to 5.654. Furthermore, he has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications in indexed journals. He is a Council Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), member of the National screening Committee and also the Clinical Lead
for the first dedicated high-throughput NIPT lab in the UK NHS to undertake cfDNA aneuploidy screening in pregnancy.

Prof. Dirk Timmerman is a Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at KU Leuven, Belgium, and Clinical Head of benign gynecology and early pregnancy UZ Leuven. He is also Vice-chair of the Medical Council at the University Hospitals Leuven and Senior Clinical Investigator of the Scientific Research Fund (FWO) Flanders. He is coordinator of the International Ovarian Tumor Analysis (IOTA) collaborative group, including more than 50 centres for ovarian cancer diagnosis throughout the world. The IOTA group aims to develop new algorithms and liquid biopsies to diagnose and detect ovarian cancer and provide optimal care of adnexal tumors (included patients n>22,500). He has been awarded the Inbev Baillet-Latour Prize for Clinical Research 2014, Fellowship ad eundem from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG, London, 2014) and the William J. Fry Memorial Lecture Award from the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine 2016 at AIUM Annual Convention, New York.

Dr Prashant Acharya is a consultant in fetal medicine and high risk obstetric care at Paras advanced center for fetal medicine, Ahmedabad, India. He is an honorary sonologist and fetal medicine consultant at the NHL municipal medical college & KM school of post graduate medical studies, affiliated to Gujarat University. He is a leader in Maternal Fetal Medicine. His expertise is in obstetrical ultrasound with a special focus on fetal growth, fetal Doppler, fetal echocardiography and fetal Interventions.

"Working with ISUOG has been a lifetime opportunity. The Society has helped me provide better knowledge of Ultrasonography in Obstetrics and Gynecology to our part of the world. In 2012 I organised ISUOG’S 8th International Symposium in New Delhi attracting more than 600 new members. ISUOG’s Symposium will be returning to New Delhi in 2015 and we are expecting to add more than 600 new members to ISUOG again. Dr S.Suresh is the Managing Director of Mediscan Systems a tertiary referral centre for Fetal Medicine in India. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of O&G London (honoriscausa) and is actively involved in training over 4000 physicians from India and other countries in Ultrasound and Fetal Medicine for over 35 years. He has several publications to his credit and is involved in various Research projects in Fetal Medicine. He has set up the Birth Defects Registry of India which is recognized as a subnational registry by the WHO. He is the managing Trustee of Fetal Care Research Foundation a Charity organisation that aims to provide access to treatment options for the underprivileged. He is a recipient of several awards and was one of the earliest to set up a Fetoscopic surgical service in India.
He is a visiting Prof in Perinatology at the Sri Ramachandra Medical University and the Chief functionary of the Voluntary Health Services, a charitable hospital in Chennai which aims to achieve affordable quality health care for all .
