Insurance and travel requirements
Delegates are advised to take out their own insurance to cover personal possessions, travel and cancellation as the Congress does not protect individuals against cancellation of bookings or theft or damage to belongings. ISUOG regrets it cannot accept cancellation requests for individual travel interruption caused by strikes or natural causes. It is the delegates’ own responsibility to check and fulfil any visa requirements and/or requirements relating to COVID19 for entry into the UK (and for any other countries attendees stop at on the way to the UK), and for return travel to their home country.
COVID-19 and your safety onsite at the Congress
Delegates are advised to take a COVID-19 test before travel and we ask any delegate testing positive for COVID-19, isolates and does not attend onsite. If a delegate cannot attend the Congress onsite due to proven COVID-19 related reasons at the time of the Congress the onsite registration will be transferred to a virtual registration and the attendee will be refunded the difference, at no additional charge. ISUOG will not be responsible for refunding any costs associated with travel (e.g. transport, accommodation, visas, etc.) and recommend onsite delegates purchase the appropriate insurance accordingly. Should any delegate experience COVID-19 symptoms, we ask them to vacate, isolate and take a test. If a delegate should test positive for COVID-19, we ask them to vacate and isolate. If the delegate is staying at a hotel, the hotel will likely have a health and safety process in place for supporting guests during an isolation period. Delegates isolating will still be able to participate in the Congress virtually live and on-demand.
Mask-wearing onsite will be optional. A limited supply of masks will be available onsite at the registration desk for those who need them; otherwise, they can be purchased at local pharmacies. There will also be sanitiser stations and regular cleaning throughout the venue.
Further to this, ISUOG will follow government COVID-19 guidance at the time of the Congress and all delegates will be obliged to do the same. At the moment there are no additional government measures in place, but we will let you know if this changes.
