Visas:

  • Citizens of certain countries and territories may need a visa to visit or transit in South Korea. To check your status and apply, visit this page. Registered delegates must contact [email protected] if they require any additional documentation to support their visa application. Those who will need a visa must apply as soon as possible as processing times and required documentation can vary. ISUOG will not provide any visa-supporting documentation beyond 3 October 2023.
  • Citizens of countries who do not require a visa to enter South Korea may still need to apply for a K-ETA. Check your country's status and apply via this link.
  • ALL visitors to Korea must apply for a Q-Code (advance input system for quarantine information) up to 3 days before arrival in Korea. Please note: You will not be able to proceed on the Q-code website if you apply more than 3 days before arrival. Apply here.
 
- It is the attendee’s own responsibility to check and fulfil any visa requirements for entry into South Korea (and for any other countries that attendees stop at on the way to South Korea).
- It is the attendee’s own responsibility to arrange any personal travel insurance wanted or needed for entry into South Korea (and for any other countries that attendees stop at the way to South Korea).

Accommodation:

The InterContinental Seoul COEX is now fully booked for the dates of the Congress. Please book your accommodation in Seoul via one of the known hotel booking platforms: Booking.com, Hotels.com, Agoda, Expedia. ISUOG does not have discounted rates with any other hotels in Seoul.

The following preferential rates are offered to Congress delegates only via the booking link below for the Congress dates of 15-19 October 2023. The booking link will also allow Congress delegates to book any time between 12-22 October 2023. Delegates who have any issues booking their stay should contact the hotel using the above contact details.

Please note:
  • Payment: All guests must present a credit card on check-in as a guarantee. All individual charges including the room rate and charges incurred through the use of Miscellaneous Services must be paid by guests prior to departure. The hotel reserves the right to debit the guests’ credit card given as a guarantee if the guest fails to pay on departure. Bookings at the special reduced rates must be completed by 01 October 2023 and subject to availability. Rooms booked after this date may incur a higher rate, please check this carefully with the hotel when booking. All Congress attendees must be prepared to make any onsite payments by credit/debit card (inc. contactless).
  • Cancellation: Cancellation made after 7 days prior to arrival including no shows, whole reserved nights’ room charge including VAT will be charged.
  • Check in: Rooms are available for check in from 3pm on the day of arrival. 
  • Check out: Check out time is 11am on the day of departure.

The closest airport to the 2023 Congress venue is Incheon International Airport, Seoul.
 

Getting to the COEX from Seoul Incheon Airport

Metro

  • Upon arrival at Seoul Incheon Airport, follow the signs to the Airport Railroad Express (AREX) station located within the airport terminal
  • Purchase a single journey ticket for the AREX train to Gimpo Intl. Airport.
  • Board the AREX train bound for Gimpo Intl. Airport. Trains operate frequently, with a journey time of approximately 40 minutes.
  • At Gimpo Intl. Airport, transfer to Line 9 (Brown Line) of the Seoul Metro. Follow the signs to the Line 9 platform.
  • Board a train heading in the direction of VHS Medical Center (Express).
  • Alight at Bongeunsa, which is the nearest station to the COEX Center.
  • Follow the signs or ask for directions to the venue. It should be within walking distance from Bongeunsa station.

Bus

  • Upon arrival at Seoul Incheon Airport, head to the Arrival Hall on the first floor.
  • Look for the bus ticket counters and purchase a ticket for the 6703 bus.
  • The bus journey from the airport to the hotel takes approximately 60-90 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
  • Once you reach the COEX area, look for signs indicating the bus stop for Bongeunsa Temple.
  • Once you alight the bus, follow the signs or ask for directions to the COEX Center. It is within walking distance from the above bus stop.
