ISUOG rules of submission

  • At the time of submission if a paper has been published this cannot be included
  • If after acceptance it is published it can be presented but not as a top abstract
  • Submitted abstracts must not include already published data
  • All speakers participating in a CME activity are expected to disclose to the audience any financial interest or other relationship with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial product(s) and/or provider(s) of commercial services discussed in an educational presentation. You will be asked to confirm these interests during submission
  • All abstracts must be submitted via the official Congress online submission system at https://isuog2018.abstractcentral.com/

Peer review and programme development

  • All abstracts are anonymously peer reviewed, scored and allocated on merit to oral communication (OC), short oral presentation (OP), poster discussion hub (P) or electronic poster (EP) sessions
  • Scientific programme sessions will be formulated around accepted abstracts to ensure that the final programme reflects the current research interest of our delegates and achieves the highest possible scientific standards. Invited and special lectures are chosen to compliment this material

Reproduction of abstracts

All abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in a supplement to ISUOG’s official Journal Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology (UOG). By submitting your abstract you agree to transfer the copyright to ISUOG should your abstract be accepted.

Recording of presentations

By submitting an abstract, you authorise ISUOG to record your presentation (if accepted) during the 28th World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. All or a portion of presentations, comments, documents and presentation slides presented will be recorded and may be selected for inclusion on ISUOG’s On Demand web portal for members and other users. Please ensure you opt in if you wish your presentation to be recorded during abstract submission.

Abstract notification

  • You will be notified as whether your abstract has been accepted in June 2018. Full details, including the timing of your presentations will be notified to accepted presenters at that time.
  • Presentations will be accepted in PowerPoint format only. More information will be made available on how to upload your PowerPoint slides for the Congress after your abstract has been accepted.
  • Any presenting author whose abstract is not accepted and who is unable to attend the Congress will be entitled to a refund of their registration fees minus an administration charge of USD $40.00

Presenting author registration requirement and discount

  • PLEASE NOTE: In order for an abstract to be considered for oral presentation, the presenting author must be registered and paid by the submission deadline 9 April 2018. Any abstract whose presenting author is not registered will not be considered for oral presentation.
  • All abstracts submitted will receive a confirmation email from the system that will contain a registration discount code that the presenting author can use to register and claim USD$100 discount on all full registration fees.  
  • Any presenting author whose abstract is not accepted and who is unable to attend the Congress will be entitled to a refund of their registration fees minus an administration charge of USD $40.00

Young Investigator Award

If the presenting author of an abstract has not completed their speciality or sub-speciality training then you may apply for the abstract to be considered for this award. The Scientific Committee will shortlist up to 5 abstracts in obstetrics and up to 5 abstracts in gynecology to be judged during the Congress in Singapore. The winning abstracts in each category will be announced in the closing plenary session at the end of the Congress on Wednesday 24 October 2018. To qualify you must meet the following requirements:

  1. The author has not completed their specialty or sub-specialty training, and
  2. A letter from the head of department confirming the applicant’s trainee status is required. This letter must be uploaded to the relevant abstract during submission.

Congress Travel Grant

  • To support education and research in underserved regions of the world, ISUOG is making available up to 6 travel grants for young researchers from underserved regions to attend ISUOG’s Congress in Singapore.
  • The grant is for individuals who are committed to research and improvement of services in their own regions and only candidates who meet the eligibility and qualifying criteria should apply. Click here to find out more.
