Suitable for: Specialists in obstetrics and gynecology with at least basic skills in gynecological ultrasound and interest in endometriosis
Program: Lectures, live scanning, case presentations. The course includes image optimization, scanning-technique, pelvic anatomy as seen with ultrasound (central, anterior, posterior and lateral compartment), ultrasound appearance of deep endometriosis in different sites (ovaries, uterus, utero-sacral ligaments, bowel, urinary bladder, abdominal wall, umbilicus, groin, sacral plexus). Measurement technique, standardized terminology (IDEA), diagnosis of decidualization of endometriosis during pregnancy and malignization in endometriosis.
Aim: The course aims to give participants a theoretical basis for using ultrasound to detect endometriosis and adenomyosis and to estimate the extent of the disease, to describe the ultrasound findings using standardized terminology, diagnose decidualization in endometriosis and counselling patients with endometriosis about their risk of malignancy
