As a growing organisation that is dedicated to improving medical practice, ISUOG seeks to establish clinical guidelines for the safe, appropriate, and effective use of diagnostic imaging in obstetrics and gynecology.
Standards and Guidelines
The ISUOG Clinical Standards Committee (CSC) develops Practice Guidelines and Consensus Statements providing recommendations on how to improve and standardise medical care for obstetrics and gynecology to assist health care professionals in maintaining the highest possible clinical practice standards for our speciality.
Consensus Statements provide a brief overview and consensus expert opinion for a diagnostic imaging procedure or related topic that is based on the available scientific evidence.
The Basic Training Recommendations provide recommendations to assist in the teaching of those specialising in ultrasound for obstetrics and gynecology and the advancement of education in the field.
The ISUOG Safety Commitee investigates issues relating to the bioeffects and safety of ultrasound and publishes Safety Statements outlining current research.
The Clinical Standards Committee can to provide guidance for individuals and sub-committees regarding the development of Consensus Statements or Guidelines on behalf of ISUOG.
