Understanding CSP and PAS: Concepts, Controversies and Clinical Practice

Join us on Sunday 12 April 2026 for our advanced livestreamed education course on ‘Understanding CSP and PAS: Concepts, Controversies and Clinical Practice’ led by Prof. Amar Bhide, A/Prof. Conrado Coutinho and Prof. Ilan Timor with our panel of dedicated international experts. The program combines 8 hours of live learning with a 5-hour on-demand course - Caesarean Scar Pregnancy and Placenta Accreta Spectrum - to be completed beforehand for optimal preparation.

This intensive course provides a comprehensive and up-to-date exploration of Caesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) and placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), delivered by an international faculty of leading experts. Participants will deepen their understanding of shared pathophysiology, screening strategies, diagnostic methods, preventive measures, and current global management approaches, supported by expert case discussions, debates, and interactive Q&A sessions. The program integrates foundational science with practical clinical challenges, offering evidence-based insights to enhance diagnostic accuracy and improve patient care. All delegates receive access to the five-hour on-demand CSP/PAS course, ensuring a strong knowledge base ahead of the live sessions.

This course is ideal for obstetricians, maternal–fetal medicine specialists, sonographers, midwives, and clinicians involved in antenatal and high-risk pregnancy care.

Program

The program for this course has been curated by the course Chairs Prof. Amar Bhide, A/Prof. Conrado Coutinho and Prof. Ilan Timor. This blended learning course will feature 5 hours online self-study learning, in addition to the one-day live livestreamed course on the 12 April, which will be 8 hours of interactive learning and discussion from an expert panel of speakers.

Attendees will be able to access the online self-study through the ISUOG Academy. Following successful registration, attendees will be enrolled for the e-learning part. This e-learning provides a comprehensive course designed to support foundational understanding.

Trainees/residents and sonographers/radiographers

Proof of status: All trainees, residents, sonographers and radiographers will need to submit proof of their trainee, resident, sonographer or radiographer status by way of a letter from their Department or Institution. The letter must be in English and dated within the last 3 months. The document can be uploaded at the time of registering or sent by email to [email protected].

Sonographer definition: A sonographer is a non-physician medical imaging professional who performs diagnostic medical sonography, or diagnostic ultrasound.

Trainee/resident definition: A trainee is a medical professional who is not yet fully qualified or practicing without supervision within their chosen specialty and in accordance with the relevant national regulatory authorities; a resident is in residency training which leads to specially or subspecialty) certification.

Dr Amarnath Bhide (UK)

Dr Amarnath Bhide is currently Consultant in Obstetrics and fetal Medicine at the St. George’s Hospital in London, United Kingdom. He is a lead clinician for the Day Assessment Unit and honorary Senior Lecturer at St. George’s University of London. He is the co-director of the MFM sub-speciality program. He is a scientific editor of BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and member of the editorial board for three other journals.

He received basic training in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Mumbai, India, and subspeciality training in the UK. He Obtained a PhD from a Norwegian university.

His research interests are in placental physiology and pathology, hypoxaemia and fetal cardiac function. His clinical interests are in invasive prenatal diagnosis and therapy, multiple pregnancy and problems with fetal growth. He has published over 120 peer-reviewed articles and 17 book chapters. He has co-authored four books. He holds research collaborations with Karolinska University (Sweden), University of Oulu (Finland) and University of Tromso (Norway). He receives grant funding from UK National Institute of Health Research (NIHR).

Prof Conrado Milani Coutinho is Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo, Brazil, and a senior consultant in Maternal Fetal Medicine. His special interests are in the use of ultrasound for the prediction, prevention, and diagnosis of fetal and placental anomalies, as well as major obstetric syndromes. Prof Coutinho holds MSc and PhD degrees in Tocogynecology from the University of São Paulo and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Fetal Medicine at St. George’s University Hospital, London, UK.

Prof Conrado is a postgraduate supervisor at his institution, president of the Perinatology Committee at the Brazilian Federation of ObGyn (FEBRASGO), associate editor of RBGO Gynecology and Obstetrics, and serves on the ISUOG Clinical Standards Committee and Educational Courses Subcommittee.

Does ISUOG offer certificates of attendance for education courses?

Yes, ISUOG offers certificates of attendance for our education courses. Please note the ISUOG certificate of attendance will be available for one year after a course.

Does ISUOG offer an enhanced certificate?

Yes, ISUOG offers an enhanced certificate upon successful completion of the post-course test.

The test will be available for one month following the live course date.

Does ISUOG offer CME certificates for education courses?

Education courses with CME accreditation will be clearly highlighted on the webpage, please check the course webpage for all information and updates on this.

Please note the CME certificate will be available for one month after the live event day of the course. After one month registered delegates will only be able to download their ISUOG certificate of attendance.

If CME is not clearly advertised then the course has no accreditation attributed to it.

How do I download my certificate?

Following a course registered delegates will receive an email with a link to submit an evaluation form. After completing the evaluation form, registered delegates will be redirected to their certificate, which can be filled in before downloading. Please be sure to download your certificate before exiting the survey.

How long is the on-demand available for?

All registered delegates for ISUOG Advanced courses receive access to the on-demand content (the lectures, panel discussions and supplement your learning) for 2 months after the event date.

How do I gain access to the course on the day?

When you have registered for a course, it will take 15 minutes for you to be integrated into our system. This means if you sign up on the day, you may have to wait up to 15 minutes to gain access to the livestream.

The login details will be provided in the joining instructions running up to the day, as well as sent a final time on the morning of the course. Please ensure you check your emails, including you spam/junk folder. The link to the livestream platform will also be included in the joining instructions, so make sure you ready through it thoroughly.

I've signed up to multiple courses, which login do I use?

If you have signed up for multiple courses, to gain access to all of them you will need to use the most recent login details sent to you.

For example if you signed up for a course in May and your confirmation number was 1234, and then signed up for a course in June and your confirmation number was 5678. You would use the latest confirmation number (in this case 5678) as the password to login to both courses to veiw.
