September 2025 is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Awareness Month – a month to expand your knowledge on a condition that affects 6-13% of reproductive aged women worldwide.
Up to 70% of women affected by PCOS remain undiagnosed. During September, and beyond, we encourage you to consider the impact of this condition on the physical and mental wellbeing of your patients.
As such, the VISUOG open chapter for September is on PCOS. The chapter includes information on epidemiology, pathogenesis, ultrasound characteristics, clinical symptoms and more. There is also a leaflet for patients that provides an accessible information overview for non-specialists.
