The most recent Outreach trip to Luxor, Egypt successfully advanced trainee competencies and strengthened the local educator model, with a scope to improve care for local women and their babies.

At the end of 2025, ISUOG Outreach in Kyrgyzstan completed its third trip in phase two, in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. This marked the first time that phase two has been fully completed in the region, bringing new-and-improved ultrasound knowledge to local clinicians.

ISUOG’s most recent outreach trip to Luxor has promoted high quality and evidence-based practice in an area of Egypt where education of this kind is often inaccessible.

The ISUOG Outreach team has just returned from completing Phase I of the Outreach Program in Kyrgyzstan. What began under unique circumstances, launching Trip 1 back in January of 2022 virtually due to COVID restrictions, has resulted in a successful project, marking a significant milestone in the history of ISUOG Outreach and setting new precedents for the future.  Elated by the success of this recent mission, the ISUOG International Trainers who worked with us on the ground share their experiences and reflections on the journey.

Upper Egypt is historically one of the most disadvantaged areas in the country. For a week in November, the ISUOG Outreach team was privileged to work on a training program with 21 medical practitioners from Egypt. The ultimate aim of the program was to improve women’s healthcare in the local community.
