This is an ISUOG Approved Course organised by Volutracer OPUS, in support of the ISUOG Every Little Heart Matters Campaign.

What is the ISUOG Fetal Echo Diagnostic Challenge?

The ISUOG Fetal Echo Diagnostic Challenge is an academic initiative designed to test and enhance participants’ ability to recognise and interpret a variety of fetal cardiac pathologies using real ultrasound cases.
During the 2025 ISUOG Congress in Cancún, attendees analysed 20 carefully selected cases representing a broad spectrum of structural and functional fetal heart anomalies, followed by live voting and discussion.

About the Webinar

This free live webinar brings that experience to a wider audience. Led by Prof. Katia Bilardo and Prof. Asma Khalil, two world authorities in fetal cardiology and maternal–fetal medicine, the session will walk participants through each of the original challenge cases.
Even if you were not present in Cancún, you can:

  • Join the first part of the webinar to view the anonymised ultrasound clips, analyse each case, and submit your diagnostic vote in real time.
  • Stay for the second part, where the professors will reveal the correct diagnoses, explain the key sonographic signs, and demonstrate structured reasoning for differential diagnosis.
