Due to recent and ongoing events in the Middle East, the ISUOG Trustees made the difficult decision in March to relocate the ISUOG World Congress to London, UK, on 4-7 September 2026. Please read more about this decision here.
Compliance:
Before the event was relocated to London, it had already received pre-clearance from Ethical MedTech (Mecomed) for the original Dubai venue. Following the decision to move the event to London, UK (see notice below), ISUOG has now submitted a new application to MedTech Europe for approval through the Conference Vetting System. You can follow the status of this submission here. The CVS team aims to respond within 35 days, and the submission was made on 1 July 2026.
Please note that event pre-clearance can only be given for applications that are started more than 6 months before the event start-date. The decision to relocate our Congress was made after that deadline, so ISUOG cannot obtain official pre-clearance from Ethical MedTech for the event. However, this does not have any impact/effect on the full application outcome, it just means that we won't have preliminary approval before the full event approval. The vast majority of established international medical congresses held in major European scientific hubs, such as London, are assessed as compliant with the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice once submitted through the Conference Vetting System. Given these factors, it would be highly unusual for a congress of this nature, organised by an established international medical society in London, to be refused approval.
Please see all information about our sponsorship and exhibition opportunities here. If you have any questions about these opportunities or about the Congress in general, please feel free to contact us.
