In the latest episode of the ISUOG Podcast, two world-renowned fetal cardiology experts came together to have a short discussion on the importance of early diagnosis of fetal abnormalities.
Prof. Simon Meagher from Melbourne and Prof. Rabih Chaoui from Berlin emphasised how vital it is that obstetricians and sonographers can accurately scan the fetal heart, diagnose heart conditions and prepare the mother and fetus for early interventions after birth.
Prof. Meagher is one of the chairs of the upcoming ISUOG Fetal cardiology conference, taking place in May 2026. He will present live scan demonstrations and lead a session on Tetralogy of fallot: clues to diagnosis and beyond. Prof. Chaoui is another member of the esteemed faculty. He will be presenting on the small right ventricle/hypoplastic right heart syndrome; atrial and ventricular septal defects; and coarctation of the aorta.
