The ultrasound community is shocked and extremely saddened that Dr Philippe Jeanty passed away last week. Philippe Jeanty leaves an immense legacy to our community and we mourn his loss and extend our sincere condolences to his family.

The ultrasound community is shocked and extremely saddened that Dr Philippe Jeanty passed away last week. He was known to everyone for his sense of humor and jovial character, as well as his sensitivity to social issues concerning the unequal distribution of wealth and health, and discrimination based on skin color, gender and religion.

Philippe made extraordinary contributions to the advancement of ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology via the education of others both locally and internationally and we are honoured that he accepted the Stuart Campbell award for Education in 2020.

His friend Roberto Romero will remember the teacher and the person Philippe Jeanty at ISUOG's 30th Anniversary Webinar on the 10th of January 2021.

Philippe Jeanty leaves an immense legacy to our community and we mourn his loss and extend our sincere condolences to his family.
