Join us on Sunday 31 July 2022 for our education course on preterm birth led by Dr Conrado Coutinho and Prof. Fabricio Da Silva Costa and a panel of experts from across the world.

'Preterm birth: prediction and prevention through ultrasound' will be centered around updated ISUOG Practice Guidelines on the role of ultrasound in the prediction of spontaneous preterm birth. This course is relevant to obstetricians, sonographers, midwives, and anyone who is the involved in antenatal care of pregnant women.

It will give you the opportunity to learn about preterm birth risk in two different clinical scenarios:

  • Asymptomatic patients, to discuss the role of ultrasound on the prediction of spontaneous preterm birth and to advise them regarding the potential preventive measures, including progesterone, pessary, and cerclage.
  • Assessment of preterm birth risk using clinical examination, ultrasound, and point-of-care tests in patients symptomatic of preterm labor, to assist in the therapeutic decisions to be taken.

This course has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 5 European CME credits. Physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
