CME
This CME activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the Joint Sponsorship of the Institute for Medical Studies (IMS) and The International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG). IMS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
IMS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 40 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Sonographers may use credits earned at these activities for the purpose of maintaining their registry with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). ARDMS accepts AMA PRA Category 1 credits. This program is not affiliated with or endorsed by ARDMS.
Nurses may claim credit for activities approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits in most states, for up to 50% of the nursing requirement for recertification. This activity is designated for up to 40 AMA PRA Category1 Credits.
Target Audience
This conference will appeal to researchers, obstetricians, gynecologists, radiologists, pediatricians, sonographers, nurses and all other professionals who perform obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound examinations.
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this conference, the participant will be able to:
· Describe the practice of prenatal genetic screening
· Know how to perform nuchal translucency measurements
· Understand the role of 3D ultrasound in obstetrical and gynecological diagnosis
· Understand new developments in the field of OB-GYN ultrasound
· Know applications of pelvic ultrasound in evaluation of the endometrium, adnexae, infertility, and pelvic emergencies
· Know how to use Doppler ultrasound in obstetrical ultrasound and adnexal evaluation
· Describe how to sonographically evaluate the fetal heart and cardiovascular system
· Explain how to sonographically diagnose fetal structural abnormalities
Program summary
The program offers two parallel streams in obstetrics and gynecology. As well as the traditional state-of-the-art updates and new research presentations, there will be significant opportunity for small group discussions through ‘Meet the Professor’ and Oral Poster sessions. The program also incorporates the popular live scan demonstrations of normal ultrasound findings by leading world experts.
