1. Fetal echocardiography
Course directors: U. Gembruch (Germany); J. Carvalho (UK)

Target audience - aimed at medical (Obstetricians, Cardiologists, Radiologists) and non-medical sonographers working in routine obstetric screening as well as those who wish to extend their knowledge on congenital heart disease.

Knowledge to be gained - delegates will gain the necessary information to allow them to
> screen low-risk pregnancies effectively (use of equipment/ recognition of normality and detection of abnormalities
> audit images obtained during screening
> be able to understand and diagnose some of the common forms of CHD

2. The practical application of ultrasound in routine gynecology
Course directors: S. Goldstein (USA); L. Valentin (Sweden)

Target Audience - aimed at physician and non physician health care providers using or interpreting gynecologic ultrasound in all aspects of clinical practice

Learning objectives - at the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:
1. Summarize the appropriate use of ultrasonography in the evaluation of a variety of gynecologic patients including infertility, uterine abnormalities and the pathology of the reproductive tract.
2. Describe the proper assessment of early pregnancy and list findings on early pregnancy assessments that are associated with poor outcomes.
3. Discuss new developments in ultrasonography, the importance of 3-D ultrasonography in reproductive medicine, and the importance of Doppler blood flow assessment in gynecology.
4. Discuss diagnosis and management of PMB, adnexal masses (both benign and malignant) and tumor staging
5. Use ultrasonography and hydrosonography in evaluating patients with abnormal uterine bleeding and on hormone therapy

4. Neurosonography
Course directors: G. Pilu (Italy); K. Kalache (Germany)

Workshop description: The program will cover all aspects of fetal brain imaging, presented by experts in the field. The topics have been chosen to cover basic and detailed neurosonographic examinations for the diagnosis of fetal central nervous system anomalies.

Target audience: Aimed at obstetricians, perinatologist, radiologist and sonographers who are involved in fetal imaging with an interest in developing skills in diagnosis and managing congenital brain anomalies.

Knowledge to be gained: After attending the course, the delegates should be able to:
> develop skills at the identifying normal anatomy of the fetal brain at various gestational ages
> understand the difference between basic and advanced (Fetal neurosonography) examination schemes
> understand the wider implication (in term of prognosis, management etc.) of common congenital and acquired  fetal brain diseases
> evaluate the potential utility of 3D ultrasound and MRI as adjuncts in examination

5. Breast ultrasound workshop
Course directors: B. Hackelöer (Germany); J. Jellins (Australia)

A workshop presented by the International Breast Ultrasound School (IBUS) in conjuction with ISUOG.

Target audience: Aimed at obstetricians, gynecologists, breast surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, sonologists and other specialists using breast ultrasound to detect, diagnose and treat patients with early breast cancers and benign conditions.

Learning objectives: The workshop will provide a clear understanding of the ultrasonic diagnostic criteria used to detect breast cancers and benign conditions. Examination protocols will be discussed, and the use of interventional techniques presented from a viewpoint of providing a definite diagnosis. Topics have been selected to impart knowledge regarding recent technological and clinical advances.
