Micrognathia
Micrognathia is a condition in which the mandible is undersized and is too small compared to the rest of the face. Due to the small size, the mandible is displaced posteriorly in relation to the maxilla. This is referred to as retrognathia. Micrognathia refers to size, and retrognathia to position. Micro- and retrognathia usually coexist.
