For the third year running, ISUOG and the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) are proud to present this FREE event for all clinicians working in lower resource settings. The live event was held on 2-3 February 2024, and registration remains open until 1 July 2024 for on-demand viewing.

Co-chaired under the expertise and guidance of Prof Tom Bourne (ISUOG) and Prof Kypros Nicolaides (FMF), Ultrasound Essentials 2024 brought together a panel of world-renowned speakers from across the globe, to share valuable scientific knowledge on all the important areas of ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology, from basic concepts to more specialist application.

Ultrasound Essentials 2024 continues its tradition of excellence and we encourage all clinicians working in lower resource settings to register for this unique, educational and inspiring event.

This event plays a hugely important part in both organisations’ missions:

The International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG): to improve women’s health through the provision, advancement and dissemination of the highest quality education, standards and research information around ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology.

The Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF): to improve the health of pregnant women and their babies through research and training in fetal medicine.

After the success of Ultrasound Essentials 2023, 100% said that they would attend this event again and would recommend Ultrasound Essentials to a colleague.

As in 2022 and 2023, registration and access to this event is only possible for those currently residing and working in lower resource countries, as defined by research4life, including South Africa. Those currently residing and working in countries not included on this list will be unable to register for or access the event. See our FAQs for more information on who should attend this course.

The live course was recorded, and these recordings are available on-demand for registered delegates for six (6) months via the event platform. Registration will remain open during this time.

Please note, if you are from a lower resource country as defined by research4life (or South Africa) but are not currently residing and working there, you will be unable to register for the event or access the meeting. ISUOG is unable to make exceptions in this regard.
