March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, and ISUOG is shining a spotlight on this crucial topic, drawing attention to, and enhancing understanding of the diagnosis and care of Endometriosis.

Endometriosis is an enigmatic, chronic inflammatory disease whose etiology is largely unknown, thus presenting challenges for patients and clinicians alike. People affected by this condition face severe pain and potential fertility issues. Early diagnosis is crucial for facilitating effective management, potentially slowing down the natural progression of the disease, and thereby reducing the burden of symptoms.

As part of our efforts to raise awareness to this condition, we brought together distinguished clinical experts – Dr. Wendaline VanBuren, Prof. George Condous, and Dr. Mathew Leonardi – to take the lead in ISUOG's first podcast, shedding light on this prevalent and painful condition.

As such, our first episode has been launched! Our experts delve into the discussion on imaging for endometriosis, highlighting the transformative impact of changes in ultrasound technology on managing this condition. This evolving field is one we aim to spotlight, as overcoming the challenges in diagnosing endometriosis with ultrasound can significantly improve patient health outcomes.

Our experts hail from Canada, the U.S., and Australia, and they share their regional experiences in imaging preferences, utility, and the variations in settings and priorities. As research on endometriosis continues to expand, our experts discuss the learning curve and the essential requirements for trainees to become competent in handling high-level imaging and findings.

Our speakers are invited to shed light on their most significant challenges in diagnosing endometriosis and the efforts they are making to overcome these obstacles.

Furthermore, our experts explore the relationship between clinicians in imaging and ultrasound. Is overlap encouraged? Are their skills complementary to each other? Tune in for a fascinating exploration of this crucial intersection in women's health!
