ISUOG Patient Information leaflets are an excellent resource for patients and their families who seek reliable and concise information in easy to understand language on various conditions in obstetrics and gynecology.

Each leaflet covers the definition of a condition, the tests involved, the implication of being diagnosed, some of the treatment options available and further questions to ask to the care team.

These leaflets also give healthcare professionals information to use when counselling patients to provide the best possible care, although a more comprehensive review of each condition can be found in VISUOG, our visual encyclopedia available to all ISUOG members.

Alain Gagnon, chair of the 'Patient Information Task Force' shares why these leaflets are so important: "We hope this series is a valuable resource that helps to empower patients to make the best decisions possible for their health when facing Obstetrics and Gynecology health issues through increased availability of reliable information."

There are currently over 250 Patient Information leaflets available to view for free on the ISUOG website, covering pregnancy-related conditions such as echogenic bowel, ventriculomegaly and fetal ovarian cyst, and gynecological related conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis and ovarian cancer.

Translations include Spanish, Chinese & Hindi, with Persian and Vietnamese in development. New Patient Information leaflets are published every month.
