The Education Committee comprises the core Committee and four Sub-Committees (former Task Forces). It is responsible for the effective progression and maintenance of the various educational activities of the Society. These include ISUOG Education courses, ISUOG Approved courses, VISUOG and the development of new education media.

Dr. Lina Youssef is a specialist and postdoctoral researcher in Maternal Fetal Medicine in BCNatal – Fetal Medicine Research Center, IDIBAPS, Hospital Clinic and Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, Barcelona, Spain. Her special interests are preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction focusing on Ultrasound, Doppler and biomarkers. She holds an International joint PhD degree with distinction from three European Universities (University of Barcelona, Lund University and Leuven University). She holds also a Diploma in biostatistics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Lina is the scientific coordinator of the Master’s program in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Fetal Medicine Barcelona Foundation in collaboration with the University of Barcelona. She has been involved in ISUOG activities since 2017 as a young ambassador, content reviewer and a member of Online Education Subcommittee. Lina also serves on a regular basis as an expert reviewer for the Spanish National Health Authority as well as for international research projects. She participates regularly as a speaker in international courses and congresses.

Maya Al-Memar is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust, with specialist clinical interests in complex benign gynaecology, acute diagnostic services including early pregnancy and acute gynaecology, rapid access for suspected gynaecological cancer, and paediatric & adolescent gynaecology. She completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in North-West London including specialty training at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital, and St Mary’s Hospital. Having worked in the largest gynaecology & reproductive medicine service in London at Imperial, she has experience in managing complex patients. Her focus is to provide the best possible care for women using high quality diagnostics ultrasound skills to streamline care. She graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine with first class honours in 2007, where she also completed her PhD and is now an honorary clinical lecturer. She is widely published in peer-reviewed journals. She currently has on-going research projects in the fields of early pregnancy, miscarriage, ovarian cysts and use of ultrasound to improve diagnosis of ovarian masses.

For more than a decade, Professor Ehigha Enabudoso has been closing the distance between world-class obstetric ultrasound and the women who are least likely to receive it. An obstetrician-gynaecologist, implementation scientist and Professor of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Benin, Nigeria, he has built his career on a single conviction: that expertise in fetal medicine belongs in low- and middle-income countries as much as anywhere else, and that the way to get it there is to train the people who will stay.
Building capacity where it is needed most
In 2014, Professor Enabudoso founded the Fetal Diagnostic and Ultrasound Centre in Benin City and launched the ISUOG-endorsed Fetal Medicine and OBGYN Ultrasound Workshop, the first international-standard obstetric ultrasound training programme of its kind in the region. Since then, the workshop has trained hundreds of clinicians from across West Africa and has brought ISUOG courses to Nigerian audiences through livestreaming. His training model, built around capacity-building, task-shifting and scalable diagnostic innovation, has since taken him to Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Liberia, and as a master trainer for the GE Healthcare and USAID HealthyMagination Mother and Child Initiative (HMCI), he equipped community midwives in rural Nigeria with basic obstetric scanning skills.
A career shaped by ISUOG
Professor Enabudoso's relationship with ISUOG began as a travel grant recipient. He went on to serve as ISUOG Ambassador to Anglophone West Africa, then as Vice Chair and subsequently Chair of the ISUOG Outreach Committee. Along the way he has mentored many ISUOG travel grant winners, championed livestreaming of ISUOG courses in Nigeria and worked steadily to grow ISUOG membership in the country, turning a personal opportunity into a pipeline for others.
Research at the frontier of ultrasound in low-resource settings
He currently leads the research team for the Gates Foundation-supported “Pathway for AI-Enabled Point-of-Care Ultrasound (AI POCUS) Introduction in Nigeria,” a project exploring how artificial intelligence can extend high-quality obstetric imaging to frontline health workers. His implementation science portfolio includes multi-centre collaborations on maternal mortality, early detection of obstetric complications and AI-assisted fetal surveillance, and he has contributed to landmark trials aimed at improving Nigeria's maternal and neonatal outcomes, including E-MOTIVE and AZIN-V. Training and credentials
Professor Enabudoso trained in medicine and completed his residency at the University of Benin and the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, before undertaking training in fetal medicine and OBGYN ultrasound at Tygerberg Academic Hospital, Stellenbosch University, South Africa. He holds Fetal Medicine Foundation certifications in fetal ultrasound and obstetric Doppler, and is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, where he also serves as an examiner and member of the Faculty Board. In 2019 he served as Associate Clinical Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, within the World Bank collaborative programme at the Liberia-Japanese Friendship Hospital in Monrovia.
A vision for outreach
Professor Enabudoso is a firm believer in home-grown solutions to the challenges facing low- and middle-income countries, and in strong local leadership as the surest route to closing the global gap in healthcare. He brings that conviction, together with his experience across West Africa and beyond, to the task of expanding the reach and ambition of ISUOG's outreach programme, so that the next generation of clinicians in LMICs can offer their patients the standard of care that every woman deserves.

Education Committee
Dr. Federica Fontanella is a consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University Medical Center Groningen and a postdoctoral researcher at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (the Netherlands). Her interests include fetal medicine, obstetric ultrasound and fetal intervention, with a particular focus on congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract, congenital lower urinary tract obstructions (LUTO), and the application of deep learning and radiomics to fetal imaging. She completed her PhD in 2019 and her specialty training in 2026 in the Netherlands, including a subspecialty training in fetal medicine at St George's Hospital, London.
Federica serves on the Oversight Committee of the Every Little Heart Matters Campaign and on the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology. She was elected to the ISUOG Next Generation Committee in 2023 and now serves as its Chair. What drives her work with ISUOG is her commitment to ensuring that women everywhere in the world have access to the highest standard of care, combined with a strong passion for fully exploring the potential of fetal imaging and intervention to improve long-term outcomes.

A/Prof. Ligita Jokubkiene is an associated professor at Lund university, Sweden and senior consultant in obstetrics and gynecology at the Department of Obstetrics and gynecology, at Skane University Hospital in Malmö, Sweden.
Ligita Jokubkiene performs both gynecological and obstetrical ultrasound examinations at an advanced level. She has defended her thesis with the title” Three-dimensional ultrasound studies of normal and abnormal ovaries” in 2012. Se is an active researcher leading several research projects with focus on ultrasound diagnostics in endometriosis, pelvic pain and pelvic floor birth-related injuries. She is also a part of international multicenter studies lead by IOTA, IETA, IDEA and MUSA groups studying ovarian masses, endometrial and myometrial pathology and endometriosis. Ligita Jokubkiene is supervising master and PhD students and is a chief supervisor of Medical Students at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University.
Ligita Jokubkiene organizes and leads national and international courses on ultrasound diagnostics in gynecology from basic to advanced level to midwives and doctors. She has been an invited speaker at international courses and congresses.

Outreach Committee member
Dr Divya Singh is a Consultant Radiologist at Mirchias Diagnostics in Chandigarh, India. Her special interests are imaging technologies including ObGyn and breast ultrasonography, deep prenatal phenotyping using ultrasound, imparting ultrasound education and training in limited resource setting. Divya did her Masters in Radio-diagnosis with distinction from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. She completed a fellowship in Advanced ObGyn Ultrasonography from Mediscan Systems in Chennai. She has also completed a training course in Medical genetics from Indian Council of Medical Research-National Institute for Research in Reproductive and Child Health (ICMR NIRRCH) Mumbai, India.
Divya is a member of the Outreach Committee and CME subcommittee of ISUOG. She is actively involved in various Working Groups in subcommittees of ISUOG. She has worked as an ISUOG ultrasound educator and trainer in Oman and Egypt and been a faculty in Basic Training Courses organised in India and Oman. Divya provides free voluntary ultrasound service to underprivileged expectant mothers in Chandigarh for which she has been awarded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Dr Catalina Valencia is a gynaecologist and obstetrician, epidemiologist, and maternal-fetal medicine specialist from the University of Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia. She holds a Diploma in Fetal Medicine and Fetal Surgery from the Fetal Medicine Foundation at King's College Hospital in London, United Kingdom. She is currently the head of the Maternal-Fetal Unit at Clínica del Prado and an Assistant Professor in Gynaecology and Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Universidad CES in Medellín, Colombia. She is the former Chair of the FIGO Preterm Birth Committee.
Catalina has a particular interest, and her publications mainly focus on prenatal diagnosis and obstetric complications, particularly pre-eclampsia and preterm birth. She has participated in training programmes on various topics related to mother-child care, such as obstetric emergencies and ultrasound. She has worked closely with the ISUOG Basic Training Subcommittee, leading its introduction and dissemination in countries worldwide, especially in Latin America.

Basic Training Sub-Committee
The Basic Training Sub-Committee is responsible for the development and maintenance of ISUOG’s state-of-the-art Basic Training modules and education material for dissemination. These modules provide trainees that are new to ultrasound an introduction to essential topics in obstetrics and gynecology.
Courses Sub-Committee
The Courses Sub-Committee is responsible for planning and developing ISUOG’s intensive and approved course portfolio, based on the pedagogical needs of our members.
Digital Learning Sub-Committee
The Digital Learning Sub-Committee is responsible for the review and restructuring of the existing and future education content of the Society into a comprehensive modular teaching framework.
VISUOG Sub-Committee
The VISUOG Sub-Committee is responsible for the development and expansion of VISUOG, ISUOG's visual encyclopedia, which aims to provide medical professionals with up-to-date information on the clinical use of ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology.
