19th ISUOG Virtual International Symposium terms and conditions

By submitting your 19th ISUOG Virtual International Symposium registration, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

General

  • These Terms and Conditions apply to each attendee registering for the 19th ISUOG Virtual International Symposium, and to anyone registering on behalf of an attendee
  • Access to the Congress onsite or virtually is not transferable, except under the substitution arrangements set out below, and access must not be shared
  • These Terms and Conditions apply from the time of registration until the closure of the International Symposium virtual platform
  • ISUOG reserves the right to revoke access to the event at its sole discretion, including for any inappropriate conduct or breach of these Terms and Conditions
 
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation of a registration must be communicated via email to [email protected] on or before 19 October 2022. Verbal changes or cancellation are not accepted. There will be a $60 livestream administration charge applied to the registration fee which will be deducted at the time of refund. Please note that the refund will be returned via the same payment method as the original receipt of funds. ISUOG regrets that it cannot accept cancellation requests for internet connection interruption. Should you not be able to access the live stream video on the day due to local internet failure or other technological issues, we will endeavour to provide the full course recordings for you to review post-event. If, for reasons beyond the control of ISUOG, an event is cancelled, a full refund will be made. We are not liable to pay any incurred costs resulting from any postponement or cancellation, ISUOG's total liability to delegates in connection with the cancellation of an event shall be limited to a refund of the registration fee. Where there is extenuating circumstances a refund outside of these terms may be considered by and at the discretion of the ISUOG Secretariat. In these circumstances delegates will be asked to provide the reason and proof to support their request. For all medical reasons please provide a written doctors note/letter. Refunds will not be given for no-shows at the event.
 
Substitutions
Substitutions of attendees can be made at any time. Delegates must request this in writing and the booking and funds will be reallocated accordingly.
 
Charging
By submitting your credit card, you are authorising ISUOG to charge your credit card the total amount due. In the event that the delegate has selected the incorrect registration fee ISUOG reserves the right to change this after submission. Any outstanding balance will be notified to the delegate by email with a link to resubmit payment to settle any outstanding balance.
 
Changes to program
All best endeavours will be made to present the programme as printed. However, ISUOG and its agents reserve the right to alter or cancel, without prior notice, any arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating directly or indirectly to the event, for any cause beyond its reasonable control. ISUOG and its agents are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of alterations or cancellations. In the event of cancellation of the event, all pre-paid fees will be refunded in full.
 
Access to the virtual event
Access to the virtual International Symposium system will require the use of attendees’ computer, as well as communications with or use of space on such devices. Attendees are responsible for any internet connection or mobile fees and charges that they incur when accessing the International Symposium virtually. Attendees are responsible for using the virtual International Symposium system as set out in the instructions provided. In the event of internet or other telecommunications disruptions affecting the live transmission of the International Symposium, delegates will have the opportunity to watch the recorded sessions on-demand, by accessing thevirtual platform until 18 December 2022 (23:59 GMT). No refunds will be given in such cases. ISUOG is not liable or responsible for any delay, disruption or disturbance in the operation of the internet or problems caused by your internet service provider or for any telecommunications failures which are beyond our control. Access to the virtual content may be temporarily unavailable during the International Symposium for updates and critical maintenance of the virtual platform and systems to ensure optimal user experience. ISUOG does not guarantee uninterrupted and/or error-free access to the virtual platform. ISUOG will endeavour to resolve any such interruptions as fast as possible. These times will be kept to a minimum.
 
Data protection
Personal data collected by ISUOG during the registration process is used to ensure the safe and successful execution of events and projects and for delegates who qualify for ISUOG membership to fulfil their membership. ISUOG will use the contact information collected leading up to the event to notify delegates of event and related activities and post event for analysis with a view to improving the experience for participants. By completing this form you confirm that you freely provide this information which is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Data is not provided to third parties without delegate approval and delegates must opt in to related questions on the registration form to take advantage of additional benefits. ISUOG takes no responsibility for delegates who do not read the data protection questions on the form in full and who do not actively opt in who wish to receive these additional benefits if relevant. ISUOG employs appropriate technical and organisational measures against unauthorised or unlawful processing of data. Delegates have the right to update their personal information or withdraw consent given at any time by emailing [email protected].
 
Photographs and videos
ISUOG will take photographs and videos at all activities and education sessions during the event. By participating in the event and/or other activities, you grant ISUOG the right to use your name and photograph for such purposes including, but not limited to, posting or publishing on news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including World Event' websites.  All pictures become the property of event. Pictures may be displayed, distributed and used by event for any purpose.

 

ISUOG event code of conduct:
ISUOG’s values are excellence, integrity, respect, inclusiveness and passion. ISUOG’s events are intended to promote education and collaboration amongst ISUOG’s international community and ISUOG aims for all participants at its events (for example: delegates, faculty, industry partners, staff and suppliers) to have a positive experience. Therefore, ISUOG requests all participants of its events adhere to this code of conduct for the duration of the event they are in attendance of. This code of conduct relates to written, verbal and non-verbal behaviour and communication, including social media activity.
 
ISUOG event code of conduct:

•    Treat all fellow event participants with respect
•    Refrain from any demeaning or negative behaviour towards any other event participant
•    Refrain from any disruption to the event scientific program or other event proceedings
•    Refrain from destruction of property or the use or threat of physical force to person or property

Please note that if any ISUOG event participant fails to adhere to this code of conduct, ISUOG reserves the right to address this and take appropriate action (for example revoke their event registration).
 
Liability:
Participant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless ISUOG, its officers, directors, employees and agents from any and all claims, actions, fees, charges, liabilities of any nature, which ISUOG, its officers, directors, employees and agents may incur that arise out of the negligence, gross negligence or wilful misconduct of the participant.
 
Intellectual property rights:
ISUOG, presenters and exhibitors retain the copyright and intellectual property rights on their respective information, documents, files, presentations, and other content shared during the event. Attendees must not copy, retransmit, record, photograph or store event content unless expressly permitted. 
 
British law
Participant and ISUOG agree that that these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.  Participant and ISUOG further agree that all disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be finally settled under British law.
