The ISUOG Travel Grant enables researchers from underserved regions the opportunity to attend the World Congress in person to network and learn from leaders in the field. Discover this year's Travel Grant winners below.

Dr. Emmanuel Adikwu Anthony is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons. He graduated from the University of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, in 2007 and has since dedicated his career to advancing women’s health through clinical practice and community service.
 
With a strong interest in reproductive medicine and community obstetrics, Dr. Adikwu has contributed significantly to improving maternal and reproductive healthcare within his community. His commitment to compassionate patient care and public health advocacy has earned him several community recognition awards over the years.
 
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Dr. Anthony is passionate about continuous learning and values opportunities to broaden his perspective through reading and traveling. He remains committed to promoting quality obstetric and gynaecological care while mentoring younger healthcare professionals and supporting initiatives aimed at improving healthcare outcomes in underserved populations.

Thi Dao Cu is a master’s student in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Her academic interests focus on obstetrics, prenatal ultrasound, and fetal imaging.
She has been actively involved in research and international scientific activities in maternal–fetal medicine, including presenting a poster entitled “Beyond the Brightness: Fetal Hyperechogenic Kidneys Unveiled” at the 17th Congress of the Asian Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (AFSUMB 2026). She is honoured to participate in the 2026 ISUOG World Congress as a Travel Grant recipient.

Dr Truder Kawaza is a clinical resident in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Malawi, currently training under the East, Central and Southern Africa College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is undergoing specialist training with a strong interest in maternal–fetal medicine and improving outcomes in high-risk pregnancies.
 
Her clinical work is primarily focused on labor ward care, emergency obstetrics, and surgical gynaecology. She is particularly interested in advancing her knowledge in ultrasound in obstetrics and improving diagnostic and management skills in fetal and maternal conditions relevant to low-resource settings. She is always looking for ways to improve service delivery despite resource limitations, as part of her commitment to advocating for underserved women.

Dr. Youmna Mourad is a medical doctor and clinical pathologist who graduated in 2013. Since 2016, she has served as the Laboratory Director at Al Hadi Laboratory and IVF Center, where she also leads the Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) unit and provides genetic counseling services. Her work focuses on reproductive genetics, laboratory medicine, and assisted reproduction technologies. The center also includes an advanced gynecology and ultrasonography unit, where the award-winning study presented at ISUOG 2026 was conducted
