Got a question about the Congress? Read our FAQs below to find your answer.
ISUOG 2026 - What will it look like?
1. Where is the Congress being held?
The 2026 ISUOG World Congress will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (Sheikh Zayed Rd - Trade Center Second - Dubai - United Arab Emirates) on 6-9 September 2026.
2. Will the 2026 ISUOG World Congress onsite or virtual?
After the success of the past editions, the 2026 World Congress will continue as a fully onsite/in-person event to maximise face-to-face interaction, learning and networking. The main scientific program sessions will be recorded and available for registered delegates only to watch on demand online on the ISUOG Academy for 12 months thereafter, after which point they will become available to all ISUOG members. Pre-Congress courses will be available for 1 month on the ISUOG Academy to registered delegates only.
Whilst ISUOG was able to offer online/hybrid Congresses during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, this was a huge operational undertaking that cannot currently be sustained year on year. This will of course be monitored over time, as there were undoubtedly some benefits to online/hybrid events that ISUOG would like to build on if possible in the future. For anyone unable to attend the ISUOG World Congress 2026 onsite, there are various other ISUOG activities available online throughout the year.
3. Is the structure of the scientific program changing for 2026?
The 2026 Congress program will be a 4-day event from 6-9 September, with Pre-Congress courses taking place on 5 September. It will bring together faculty from around the world and with the 2026 event taking place in Dubai, you can also expect to meet leading experts in ultrasound from the Middle East.
Language and translation
Will there be translation at the Congress?
Wordly AI translation will be available for live scientific program sessions, from English into Arabic. This will be available via a transcript on the Congress app. Delegates must bring their own mobile devices and headphones, and download the Congress app to access this. Please note, the translation will be provided by Wordly AI; ISUOG is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate translation, nor disruption to the service (for example due to network issues). Translation will not be available on the on-demand recordings.
Sustainability
We are very conscious that holding large events poses big challenges when it comes to the environment. With that in mind, we are trying to reduce our waste and carbon footprint where we can, and encouraging all our event partners to do the same.
What are we doing to try and avoid waste, reduce our carbon footprint and have a positive impact on the local area at the ISUOG World Congress?
-
Reducing printed materials: ISUOG is no longer providing any printed materials except a small program overview and a limited number of guideline posters. We provide a Congress app, digital materials and a digital poster portal instead. We will also use recycled or recyclable materials where we can.
-
Choosing our menus thoughtfully: ISUOG will order locally sourced, seasonal catering where possible and will be increasing the proportion of lunches that are vegetarian, year after year. ISUOG always orders catering very carefully to avoid food waste, along with ecofrindly and reusable cutlery.
-
Minimising use of temporary materials: ISUOG will try to use recycled or recyclable carpet and sponsor/exibitors are encouraged to do this too. Signage will be digital or cardboard, rather than plastic, where possible. Single-use crockery/cutlery will be avoided where possible. We are looking into ways to reduce single-use materials in the construction of our ISUOG stand.
-
Choosing materials carefully: Lanyards, bags and any give-aways will be locally sourced and made from recycled/recyclable materials where possible.
-
Encouraging use of public transport: We encourage delegates to use public transport where possible in Dubai. The Dubai World Trade Centre is served by the Red line of the Dubai Metro, which connects it with Dubai International Airport, Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina and more.
-
Encouraging our industry partners, Congress venue and suppliers to do the same: We ask our industry partners to take the same measures as us at a minimum and will be getting stricter about this year on year. We also include sustainability measures in our Requests for Proposals from event venues and suppliers.
-
Supporting local charities and social enterprises: This year, ISUOG is working to offer various local social enterprises and charities to exhibit at the Congress.
How can delegates help at ISUOG 2026?
-
Drinking water: There will be water fountains/jugs onsite. We will not provide cups. Please bring a re-usable water bottle to the Congress.
-
Re-usable items: Please make sure you re-use or recycle any Congress materials that you keep, such as lanyards or bags. Please return your lanyard at the end of the Congress, if you don’t need it.
-
Waste: While onsite for the ISUOG Congress please dispose of your waste considerately and recycle where possible.
-
Travel: We encourage any delegates who can, to use public transport to get around, where possible.
Please feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions on how we can improve our sustainability efforts for future congresses by emailing: [email protected].
For anyone who does not want to travel to the ISUOG World Congress 2026 due to the impact of travel on the environment, there are various other ISUOG activities available for online attendance throughout the year.

Membership queries
1. How do I become an ISUOG member?
As a delegate of the ISUOG World Congress 2026, you will receive 12 months of Basic ISUOG membership.
If you register as a non-member, you should have already received 12 months of Basic ISUOG membership.
If you registered for the Congress as an existing ISUOG member, you will receive 12 months of membership from the expiry date of your current membership.
Delegates registering onsite will receive membership right after the Congress.
2. How do I log in?
Click on 'Login' at the top right corner of our website and enter your membership number or registered email address in the first field and then your password. Once you have logged in you can access all member content including UOG online, if you are a current Journal member.
3. How do I find my password?
You will be asked to create your individual password. If your Congress membership has already been created, you should have received an email asking you to do this. If you have no emails from ISUOG and there are none in your Junk/spam folders, your membership probably hasn’t been created yet.
If you cannot remember your password, please click on ‘Forgotten password’ on the login page. Then enter your registered email address and we will send you a link to reset your password. This link will expire within 15 minutes.
4. I can’t see any emails from ISUOG. How can I fix this?
Please check your junk and spam folders – our emails can sometimes end up in there. This happens most often with yahoo and gmail accounts. If you still don’t have any emails from ISUOG it’s probable that your membership has not been created yet – we will do this after the Congress and it will run for 12 months.
5. How can I talk to ISUOG about ISUOG membership or other activities?
Visit the ISUOG stand in the Exhibition Hall to find out about ISUOG activities and chat with a member of our staff team. Alternatively, read about ISUOG’s membership benefits on our website.
